The Dixie Highway was the first interstate to reach into the South. In northwest Georgia, this was mainly the route of US Hwy 41. Sights and remains of this historic route can still be seen. For more details, ask for the "Drive Through History - Dixie Highway" brochure.

Directions: Hwy 41 can be accessed from I-75 at exits 336 and 345. The route also circuits through the downtown areas of Dalton, Tunnel Hill and Ringgold.
