Dug Gap Battle Park

Although outnumbered 10 to 1, Confederates successfully held off Union attacks here on May 8, 1864. Located at the crest of Dug Gap, the valley view from both sides is spectacular on a clear day. Open daylight hours.

Directions: From I-75, exit 333, Walnut Ave (Hwy 52), go west up the mountain 1.5 miles. Park on the right.
