Chickamauga & Chattanooga Battlefield Park The bloodiest two days in American History are remembered with this, our nation's first National Military Park. The park commemorates the men who fought and died here, whether they wore blue or gray. Take a self-guided tour of the 8,200 acre battlefield and hear an audio-tape tell of the conflict that claimed 34,000 Union and Confederate casualties. Visit the Chickamauga Battlefield Vistors Center and examine multimedia interpretive exhibits and admire the world-famous arsenal of long-arms weapons in the Fuller Gun Collection. Visitor Center hours are 8:00 am to 4:45 pm.

On the battlefield are noted monuments like Wilder Tower (make sure you climb to the top to enjoy the dramatic view of the battlefield), Brotherton Cabin, Snodgrass Hill and Battleline Road.
